The unborn baby called April of a pregnant woman killed in a "completely random" street attack also
died in the incident, police have now confirmed.

Claire Wilson, who was in her early 20s, was stabbed in the back on Pasture Street, Grimsby while on
her way to her place of work, Pizza Hutt. on Sunday afternoon.

Police have said it was a random attack by a man she did not know who had been following her, and
that there was "no obvious motive" and have arrested a 53 year old man.

She was rushed to the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital but died from her injuries. Her friends have
said that she was seven months pregnant with her first baby, whom she had already named April.

Dave Stembridge, 18, said: "She just didn't deserve it. She was one of the greatest people anyone
would want to meet. She was just amazing. She's going to be missed so much. It's just not fair."

Det Supt Kelk said the attack was a "completely random" and described it as "one of the most
traumatic cases we have had to deal with. I can only begin to imagine what the young lady's family
are feeling and my heart goes out to them."

Det Supt Kelk added: "It is quite possible that a number of people in the town centre around the
time of the incident may have seen the suspect as he walked to [the scene].

"I would ask that these people come forward urgently as any information, no matter how small it may
seem, may be vital to the investigation."

A notice pinned to the door of the Pizza Hut store said: "This restaurant will remain closed until
Wednesday June 10 due to the unfortunate incident involving Claire Wilson, a valued and much-loved
member of our team.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Claire's family and friends."

Sorry x

This is one of those horrible stories that make people realise what kind of sick people are walking the streets...
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of two innocent people who did not deserve this at all.
I hope that justice is served.
Your memory will forver be in the hearts of those that loved you.

True love never Die's

Through the windows of my eye's
I see you standing all alone
There's a tear in your eye's
I can see that you want to come home

I dont think you realize
Your now in heaven above
You look so lonely standing there
But dont worry, were here my love

As long as we can see you
Through the windows of our eye's
I promise you our sweet Angel
True love will never die.
